I am a recent Mac switcher and ain't sure if I have ballsed this up. I had XP running via boot camp but as I found replacement mac apps for the windows ones I decided to remove XP. I did this via boot camp but I don't think the partition has been removed as I only have around 35.4Gb available on my 60Gb Macbook (55.6Gb capacity). There are no media files on the Macbook as they are all stored externally and no large apps so I'm pretty sure I am missing Gbs somewhere and I can only attribute it to the XP partition. Is there any way to check this and then restore it if this is the problem?

You can use Disk Utility to see whether your hard drive still contains two partitions. Also, just too see the full size of your main partition, you can just use the finders info on the disk and see what the capacity of the disk is (not just how much space is left on it).
