Hi,
I'm installing XP on a 500gb maxtor drive (bay 3) on my mac pro. Bay 1 and 2 are raid 0 and thus unavailable.

When I am installing XP, it asks me what drive to install on. I choose C. It immediately takes me to a new screen where it says it first must write information on drive E, which XP is unable to write to.

Thoughts?

Alex

Summary : For some reason you need to disconnect all other hard drives except for the one you want to install Windows on. I have no idea why, but it works. I suspect its something to do with RAID as I don't remember having that problem before I added a RAID set to my Mac.
