xp on a mac: what discs can i use?

ok i need to know do you need the full version of XP SP2 or can i just buy the $150 "upgrade" to SP2 if i wanted to put it onto my mac, becasue i really don't feel like spending $400 on windows for my mac when i already have an installation code. all i need are the discs!!!

AFAIK, you need the full version because the upgrade requires that you already have some version of Windows installed... and you can't install and boot Windows 98 on a Mac.

ok thanks a lot, i guess i'll ahve to ask some friends if they have the discs cause theres no way i'm spending almost $400 CDN for a mere novelty item...
