Does anyone know of a free/cheap and effective Pop-Up blocker for Win XP Home?

This is driving me insane. Everytime I use my roommates CPU it makes me so glad I use a Mac. I hate skool for making me need to use a PC. HELP!

I've turned off all the popups on my machine, all you do is select "Don't display this message in future" when ever a popup comes up, sooner or later they are all gone.

P.S: II know what you mean, I hate popups

Use Mozilla or Netscape instead of IE, that should solve all your pop up problems.

Argh! No, DON'T use Netscape! Maybe Moz if you don't mind it taking a while to load. Best browser for the PC is Firebird (google 4 it).

Dude, Firebird is Mozilla (V.2.0). All I ment is to goto mozilla and find one you want to use. Also Netscape 7, athough filled with AOL BS, is a very fast browser on XP as well a for Un*x systems running Gnome.

Firebird is a stand alone browser. (So is Camino, but thats Mac OS X only)
Thunderbird is a stand alone email client.
Mozilla is the full meal deal of browser and email together, ala Netscape Communicator.
Netscape is Mozilla with ads, lots of extra software and AOL branding everywhere.
