Hello, I've been trying to install Mac OS X 10.4.2 for the past couple of days on my 1999 300 MHz iBook G3 Clamshell with XPostFacto 4.0. However, I keep on getting the error "Could not complete your request because there was a problem copying the mach_kernel file" when I attempt to install it. I am using the Bad Machines mod of 10.4.2 from macintoshrepository.org

Any suggestions?

What OS are you running XPF from?

Could be an issue with the image file you used, try an OEM copy and see if that resolves the issue.

I am running 9.2.2, and I don't think there is an OEM copy of the 10.4 cd since it had to be ordered from Apple.
