iPhone XR Xr and portrait mode

I find it interesting that apple is promoting the Halide photo app on their App Store. Halide is the app that claims it can do portrait mode with the xr on any object. Maybe apple will add that in a future update to the camera app.

When I was buying the XR an Apple Retail store employee also recommended Halide. Is interesting.

I've been using Halide, and it works...OK. As long as you have a lot of natural depth in the image and good lighting, it does a good job, but otherwise applies a very subtle bokeh effect.
