I just upgraded to the XR and was wondering what battery usage everyone got out of it. I remember people raving about how long it lasted but mine seems just okay. Apple says up to 15 hours of internet usage and I for sure don’t get that. Streaming video seems to eat it up like crazy. This is all used with background app refresh off location services off and auto brightness on in low light environments.

Tend to get 7-8 hours usage per 100%. No idea where they get their 15 hours of internet usage figure from, utter garbage. Perhaps they just open a web page and leave the phone untouched until the battery dies.

I have a 6-7 hours in iPhone 11 with 50% battery remains. I thought that XR should have a similar consumption, or 1 hour less. I read a several threads where battery life was worse after latest updates...

I use mine very lightly and can go 3-4 days without charging. Basically it sits on a charging stand when I am in the office, and other than that I don't charge it.

I have the iPhone 11, which from testing seems to be pretty similar to the XR, with the 11 only having a very slight edge. I find that even on my heaviest use days (the type of days the I'd be looking for a charger by noon with my 8) I still make it to the end of the day with some juice left over (>20%). On a normal day I typically don't dip below 60%. I've been super impressed with the battery life on this phone - it is perhaps my favorite thing about it.

Streaming video over a poor cellular or wifi signal could definitely eat your battery a lot faster.

because I upgraded from a 6. I don’t care about having the newest iPhone. iPhone 11 is basically just an xr copy cat just an xr with a slightly better camera and slightly faster chip.

iPhone 11 has even better better life and 4GB RAM.

iPhone XR is a copy cat of iPhone X with 3GB RAM.

Insane battery life. Very light use gives me around 16 hours of Screen-on time (on iOS 12). My 7+ on iOS 10 was at around 11-12. And that phone had more battery life for a day than I’d ever use.
The 11 Series is around the same according to what I’ve read, at least when compared to the Xʀ on iOS 12. I know for a fact that the Xʀ’s battery life has decreased significantly on iOS 13, or at least significantly enough to make the difference with the 11 Pro Max meaningful, whereas before it was negligible.

Perhaps now the 11 Pro Max is around 15% better than a Xʀ on iOS 13. The other two are very similar.
