I just purchased a 2,3/16/256 MBpro with a retina screen.
It is mostly used together with an older Dell monitor.
When I attempt to calibrate both monitors, using my i1Display2 and iProfilerD2 from write the monitors turn nastly green when I create the profile.
I have reset PVram etc, but to no avail.
Xrite no longer supports the i1Display2 on ML, so there is no help there.
I had no problems calibration my former Macbook pro and monitor.
Any suggestions ?
Apart from buying a new calibrator ;o)
I do think the Macbooks display has a very strong contrast, even if it is set to normal in the Accessibility panel.

I used an i1DisplayPro (successor of i1Display2) with my 13" Retina without a problem. The colors looked OK from the beginning, but the contrast was too high for photographic work. After calibration my MacBook is very close to my 27" iMac (which didn't noticably change after calibration).

Did you try to get the latest i1Profiler software from X-Rite?

The problem with the i1display2 is apparently that it is discontinued and the i1profilerD2 for Lion should work with ML, but it is not supported. I am glad to hear that you don't have any problems with the i1display pro. Probably have to ditch my calibrator and buy a new :(
