Guys,

Hopefully I can translate this issue. So my XS Max, when making a call for example, the call will prompt me to make selections (1 for this department. 2 for that department etc etc) to get me to the right place, I noticed, the phone dims (sleeps) as I listen to the automation to finally make my choice.

Once I make my selection, it does not read it (because the screen has gone to sleep), I have to tap the screen again to wake it (where the screen then brightens), to get my selection to go through.

Is there something in "settings" I can change for it not to dim (sleep) so quickly. Is this a known issue?

Thanks.

Go to Settings > FaceID and Passcode and toggle off the attention awareness feature. This feature constantly checks to see if you’re looking at the phone and if you’re not, it immediately dims the screen.

EDIT: Also change your Auto-lock Settings. I think the default is 30 seconds but you can make it longer. Settings > Display and Brightness

Thanks so much. I changed both settings. I know with ATTENTION AWARENESS FEATURE toggled OFF, this troubleshooted the Alarm. With the default ON, the alarm sound is loud then softens. With it toggled off, the alarms sounds stays consistently loud.

I think the issue is with the Auto-lock settings default to 30secs. I changed it to 1 minute (for the screen not to dim. When the phone dims, it doesn't register my tap gestures to the automation prompts). I'll make a few automated calls to see if this fixes the issue I was having. Thanks again for your help.
