I have an XS Max and was actually considering upgrading to the 11 Pro Max a few months back. I decided to wait to see what the iPhone 12 Pro Max would be like before making a decision. I’m in love with the 12 Pro Max camera, screen, and the ceramic glass. The larger base storage and it being the same price as the 64 gb Pro Max is incredible. However, I’m not a fan of the flat edge design and I had my eye on midnight green for a while which isn’t included in these new phones.

Would it be unwise to go for the 11 Pro Max based on looks alone?

Is anyone else thinking of NOT going for the 12 and instead for the 11?

I've got the 11 Pro Max. I think it's an absolutely superb device. The battery life was the real gem for me. Which is why I'm not going for the 12 Pro Max. Lower mAh on top of 5G and I don't see how even with a more efficient processor, it could be better than what I've got now. Unless there is a way to turn off 5G entirely.

Really it's up to you on where you want to go with it.

11 PM is a great phone.

But, you are missing out on 5G, you are missing out on a substantially improved camera, as well as MagSafe.

personally, if you are spending this kind of money, I’d get the 12 PM. You’ll get used to the looks.

I used to take a crop sensor camera and a Moment wide angle for my X with me on all of my trips...until I got an 11 pro. From a videography/photography standpoint "its de' best man!"
