Would not be too worried as that figure is more of an estimate.

The real question here is, did you find that your phone was not lasting as long as it did at all? Was there a significant drop in how long it lasted between charges?

Batteries deteriorate no matter what you do, you should only get worried if you do fee a significant drop in usage time in a very short space of time.

Apple will tell you not to worry until it hits 80% anyway.

will try to use it without the sbc to see how it is

The battery case tends to keep the iPhone battery at max capacity for a longer period of time, so it can negatively affect battery health. This is in addition to the heat build up from wireless charging (the case is one big heat insulator).

I faced the same issue when I used the Apple Battery case on my iPhone 7.

These battery cases tend to have a negative impact on the battery’s they are designed to support. Especially healthy batteries. Imo, a battery case is a blessing for an already significantly deteriorated battery. They can be indispensable. On the flip side, and again’ imo, they may be a curse for a healthy battery and will mess with the original battery’s natural depletion.

I think the Smart Battery Case could affect battery health if used on a regular daily base.
No matter what people are writing here: a Lithium battery shouldn't stay at 100% for a long time, which is exactly what the SBC is doing.

To me the SBC is intended to be used once in a while, when really needed.

Anecdotal evidence, but according to my experience you start notice a degraded battery life when it goes below 86/85%...

My iPhone 7 had major battery deterioration during the year I had it because I kept it plugged in and at 100% for so long. I assume that battery cases do a similar thing?

Thankfully this isn’t something I’ve had to do with my Pro Max due to the size of the battery, I’m still at 100% whilst my iPhone 7 was down to 96% after the same length of time. When I sold it, it was down to 86%.
