Hi all, I attempted to swap out the (working) E5520 in my single cpu Xserve 3,1 with a single X5590 that I delidded. Unfortunately that CPU didn't appear to be working (Activity lights wouldn't show up when powered on, no indications of problems on the diagnostic LEDs). Following that I just put the original CPU back in after a quick clean and now my Xserve has flashing power LED and activity lights, with no problems indicated by the diagnostic LEDs. All components on the server are original including memory and it was booting fine before this and nothing else was changed during the process. Have I somehow killed the CPU?
