Xserve Quad Core Xeon 2.26ghz (april 2009) - 4gb RAM Compatability

hello, long time reader, first time i've needed to post...

I just bought 6 4gb RAM chips for a customers Xserve following this site's specs:

- Xserve Quad-core Xeon 5500 2.26GHz (April 2009) (6 Ram Slots)

and now after the order, I'm checking Apple's spec's on the Xserve it looks like they say only 2gb chips will be recognized:

Has anyone had any luck getting 4gb chips to recognize in this model? Or am I stuck reordering 2gb chips and settling with 12gb max RAM?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx

Just following up incase someone else needs this info...

The 4gb RAM chips worked just fine.
