XServe Raid and SFP Media Converter

Just wondering if you could use an xserve raid via a sfp media converter (such as http://www.box.co.uk/TP-Link_MC220L...gle_shopping&gclid=CIGL4NvUgbcCFZLKtAodoBMAfQ) and run the ethernet differently into a macbook pro.
