xServe Raid extremely Slow

Hello,

i just bought myself a shiny xServe raid to use as video storage for smoke! I have a raid 0 set up to do some speed testing (i know its dangerous)

so i run aja system tester, and all excited press the start button, its hooked up to my 4 channel Fibre card, with 4GB Cables, all apple made!

7 Brand new drives in a raid 0 and bammm

Read 109.0

Whats wrong here? My Single drive USB lacie gets almost the same!
am i missing something?
