I am downloading WoW via the 10 day trail link via Blizzard.com.
The site offers http downloading and bittorent. It recommends bittorent for faster download.
I am knew to bittorent programs, so I search MacRumors a bit and downloaded Xtorrent.
If this is supposed to be faster, why isnt it?

Standard downloading with 10 hours remaining
Xtorrent downloading at 3 days remaining

Ok. This is likely to be noob question but here goes....

I have a di-624 router.
When I login the router 192.168.0.1 i see only 2 options that look to provide port configuration:
Filters
Firewall

Any guesses?

LOL. :p

In theory, if everyone's using the torrent, there will be lots of seeds and thus a better download speed than if everyone was using their direct download, but in practice speeds vary greatly on BitTorrent and you have to have it configured well for the best speeds.
