I have a few xvid files I wanted to play in quicktime. I'm fine using vlc, but what is better? opinions?

The part that I'm also concerned about is, how he heck do install the codecs for quicktime? I tried from the quicktime website, but the files wouldn't work, suggestions?

I like vnc because you can set it to "always on top." That way you can play a video while browsing the web, or doing what ever.

If you dont like that, then:

might be what you are looking for.
