I have a late 06 Macbook. 2.0 processor and 2gb ram. Never had any issues playing Xvid before, but I just recently did a fresh install of Lion. Now Xvid movies play sound for 2 seconds then cuts off. Plays video fine though. On the desktop it will let me play the movie from the icon. Plays video and sound just fine. But when I open it up with quicktime, bam! 2 seconds in and I have no sound. I would prefer to stick with Quicktime, I know I can go and download VLC, but I had Xvid playing on Quicktime before with no issues. I do have Perian installed and with the latest update. What gives?
