Yahoo and Hotmail mail wont log in

I cant log into my yahoo and hotmail mail account after the recent updates done for my Tiger 10.4.11. I can get into the www.yahoo.com page, but after writing my username/pass it wont enter! Anyone facing similar problems?
 
is there someway i can track down in a log file the whole situation so i can review it later?
