Yahoo frontpage iPod ad won't go away

When I pull up Yahoo's frontpage there is an large iPod Ad that won't go away and there is no small box to click on to make it collapse. How do I get rid of it?

Also, I keep getting a small prompt at the bottom of my monitor telling me that someone (who I don't know) is trying to IM me. How do I get rid of that?

Why not install an ad-blocker? Even if you don't have one, you can stop the ad by clicking the "stop" in the upper right corner:

You know, it's odd...but I have an adblocker installed on both Safari and Chrome and that ad is still showing up for me on both.

An Ad-Blocker is a plug-in or extension that you add to your browser to automatically block most ads on websites, so the ads don't appear. I use Safari AdBlock (not the extension, but the older version 0.4.0), SafariBlock, GlimmerBlocker, the ClickToFlash Plugin and the JavaScript Blacklist extension.
