yahoo mail not working with apple mail client

I am having trouble with my yahoo account through apple mail client. Its basically telling me my password is no good when it is. Ive used the same password to log in online through a browser. there is nothing wrong with the password. sometimes it works for 10 minutes then all of a sudden it starts rejecting my password again even though nothing changed.

Ive used the connection doctor under window menu item and it logs all my emails in fine. but when i try and do it through the actual mail client it fails. any help would be appreciated getting really pissed my mail has been fubar all day.

theres nothing wrong with your Mail app, its yahoo. Its been this way for years. I think it has to do something with the security settings on yahoos part.
