Yahoo Mail on iMac and iPad

I have a paid Yahoo DSL account.

I have it set to route into iPad, and also iMac, with the MAIL application.

How is it that if I delete a mail out of MAIL on iMac, yet it stays in the Yahoo inbox on iPad?

I will be signing up for Me.com once it rolls out- I would assume this issue won't be present, right?
