About 8 weeks ago, my password in applemail and on line refused to work.
After a series of about 6 emails to Yahoo...I have given up.
they sent me 3 different new complicated passwords that the system
feels is "acceptable". No everyday user could have ever created such
complicated passwords. Anyway NONE of them worked.
I finally gave up and just deleted the account from applemail.
Yahoo has some serious problems, (based in India) that seem
unsolvable. If you start having these problems don't waste time
trying to create a new password etc...just delete it.:(

The fact that Yahoo is sending passwords that will not work is a significant problem. The fact that they are computer generated is what I would have expected. All of my passwords are unique... and a typical password would be something like:

Q3GsiUcmFCNr^HvonLn)cU9v

What I find even more strange is that they send passwords at all. Generally the user provides the password... not the service providing a password. I would be worried that you were hit by some phishing scam.
