This has been asked before, but the thread is a few years old. Does anyone have push working using standard Yahoo mail (not there $20 Plus version)? I've heard it works from some people and that it doesn't from others, thanks.

Yeah I have it working and I didn't pay a dime. However it doesn't work well. It pushes immediately sometimes and takes forever or not at all other times.

I noticed that too it has been pushing for a long time. rather have gmail pushing.

I was using yahoo for it's 'push' but it just
BLEW for me! rarely ever pushed so I just started
the mobile me trial and as of now will be going
full on when the trial period is up as it's working
great for me.

I thought about mobleme but it is stuck with outlook and it is not free. I may have paid for it but I don't want stuck with outlook. gmail pushes two both my Thunderbird account and my gmail pushes calendars and contacts.

yea the $99 kind of sucks but with this
new added feature of 'find my iPhone'
and being able to wipe the phone is a nice
feature to me. a small ($99) peace of mind!

The free Yahoo push has always been hit & miss with me. But with iPhone 3.0 I've noticed it works 90% of the time now.

I'm pretty sure Gmail push is working. I have fetch turned to every hour with push on. I keep sending my self an email from a computer and my iphone dings with a new tick above mail in about 3-5 mins.

FYI you can use MobileMe email accounts with Thunderbird, but I still agree with what you're saying.

It has been working a lot better. Today I received all of my emails as soon as they came. Only 4, but still. We'll just see how it plays out when I get a 3G S.
