Yahoo with Mail

Hopefully this will be the last of my "girlfriend's macbook" posts. Anyways, she got it, and using an external drive I transfered all the files a few hours ago, no problems. Besides for one.

For some reason Mail won't work with her Yahoo account, since she apparently needs to upgrade to Yahoo Pro or something for it to work. Does anybody know a way to overhaul this rule, and if not, are there any other good 3rd party desktop mail clients for OsX that will use Yahoo? Thanks!

What's so hard about using Yahoo!'s web interface again? You have to pay for their POP service as it is and it's POP...

Well, you can try this work-around:

You have to download 2 programs and do some configuration to get it to work. If I were you, I would tell my girlfriend to switch to gmail.

Set her yahoo email account to forward to a gmail account. Use IMAP to pull email from the gmail account. done.
