I'll be getting a dual 1.42 [when they finally let me configure it with the ATI 9700!] and want to get a second drive for the disk to disk convienience. Do I go for an internal or external config and why? Thanks for the feedback!

Internal. Cheaper. Less clutter on your desk...

Thats what I thought but do you think there would be a heat issue?

not really a big issue. i am guessing you will not be using both the drives that often. if you are not doing osmething that is massively cpu intensive at the same time, you will be fine.

if heat becomes an issue, buy a firewire enclosure and set it on your desk.
