there are about 3 apple discussions on this now. I have a Yamaha DP-U50 external sound board and it is only recognized as an input device in Leopard (and according to others, 10.4.11). It worked on my 10.4.10 iBook. I'm pretty upset, I love that sound card... hoping Apple reads this for their next update.

Yamaha USB external sound card does not work in Leopard or 10.4.11
