I'm so excited that I'm just telling whoever will listen. I found out today that I got into my uni course - Media & Communications/Commerce at Melbourne University. I wasn't expecting to get into it, but somehow I did. :)

Normally I wouldn't do this, but....

wOOt

I apologise for bragging, but I'm just really excited.;)

Media and Communications is basically an Arts degree with some core subjects that involve professional writing (journalism)/communication technologies/advertising, that sort of thing. And media is obviously just media - TV, film, print, internet etc. And commerce, is just plain old commerce. I actually wanted to do law instead of commerce, but my score wasn't quite high enough.

Very cool. I wouldn't call it bragging at all since you've obviously worked really hard to get it. It's good to hear positive things going on in others' lives. :)

Yes it is. :)

I was just at Melbourne Uni in the middle of December. Nice place. The recreation building and activities and such are way too expensive though. You must have had a messed up student union or something. I mean, $11.00 for a non-union member to go to the gym once! How about $5.50 to go swimming once! Oh, and you have to be a student to use anything. The only reason I got to use the pool was because I had to lie a little and say I was "invited" to the Uni (untrue) and was staying at St Mary's College (true).
Damn, it's $2.00 for non-union/student members in to go swimming in our "Olympic" sized pool in Wollongong, and everyone's allowed in. It's great.

Other than that, nice Uni and city. :D :p

Thanks a lot for your kind words guys! :) ;)

If that's the case Abstract, I'll find a different gym to go to as I won't be living on campus.
