I've had iPhones, iPads, and Macs with screen coloring tint variations. It usually does come down to a yellowish or cream color vs. a whitish or bluish tone.
I've found in all cases that I got used to it after a while. Plus, after using one of them, say the yellower one, when I switched to the other whitis—bluish one, it looked excessively blue! And, conversely.
Back in the days of the non-retina 13” MBA, I got one whose screen just looked off compared to my previous one. At that time, two different companies were supplying Apple with the screens. My second was by the second supplier. I tried all sorts of different color profiles to fix it or, rather, to make it comfortable to use. Scrolling through long documents or down long web pages was tiring on the eyes. I even ended up buying a retina MBA to do my writing on.
Well, guess what. Due to a variety of circumstances, I ended up back with the MBA whose screen I didn’t like that much. I've been using it for most of this year, without any issues at all! Of course, I do most of my news reading and scrolling on an iPad Air, but still I'm writing away at long documents without any problems…
It just shows what we can adapt to.
Now, PWM and color dithering producing eye and brain issues is an entirely different matter… and not something that most people who are sensitive to can simply grow to tolerate or even enjoy.
But I think that screen tint likely is!
