I am so happy! Well after my last final today i will... Anyways i ordered a Brand new Powerbook today at school ... Total price 1625.45 Before (100 doller mail in rebate)

Soon: 12.1-inch TFT Display, 1024x768 resolution
1.5GHz PowerPC G4, 512MB DDR333 SDRAM
80GB Hard Drive, NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 (64MB DDR)

IN MAIL be here soon...

Good deal still expensive though.... I can't wait!!! I can finally sell my Windows XP Laptop that is still pretty new lol.... I will update this post when i should get it Tommarow and tell you guys how much i am in love and no longer need a girlfriend...

i got the same one, i paid 1,587 and im waiting for the $100 rebate, i used my EDU discount so a got like $200 less. It is a great machine u gonna luv it.

20"?? A REAL mac user would have a 23" minimum!! hehe.

I'm green with envy though. Those Powerbooks are so damn sexy. It's the first time Ive ever read an electronics catalogue and admired the pages as though I were reading hustler.

Girlfriend thinks Ive gone crazy.
 
i hope to see the next rev of powerbooks has a different look or maybe some color. i am kinda tired of the brushed metal appearance to be honest. i think they should just try something new and if that fails then go back to what worked

i love the white though, how could you not :p

O ya forgot to say parents wanted DVD burner so much so we can burn DVDs for our home movie they are giving me the 100 doller difference so total price for me

I remember getting my first Mac. Is this your first ever?

I hadn't used one in so long it was completely foreign to me.

But after a little while, I realized that I was onto something good. Especially when I was able to move from OS9 to OSX.

Congratulations on your 1st mac.
I got my 1st mac 3 years ago, an imac G3 400MHZ. I'm still using it now!!!

I'm plan on buying one of those 12" pbooks soon. :)
 
congrats on the mac! you'll love it. and try to convert some pc users with all of that enthusiasm ;)

ya opps i used to be such a anti-Mac person sorry to say... Now i love them.... Need to undo the dammge when i told my parents i was getting one they were like OMFG i thought you hated Macs... Me "Well i love them now" their like ok whatever...
 
I too hated macs before I switched.

However, in thinking about it, I was just reasonably jealous of the fact that it was new and exciting. The people on the platform defend it so strongly that it's really annoying for an XP user.

And then I switched, loved the OS instantly, and now I too defend the OS to it's hilt!! Its just funny that everybody wants what they cant have - and indeed, if not, the best thing is to lay on a few slurs about it! Human nature I suppose.

lol i hated them because my school used G3's 333mhz 98mb ram 16mb Video ram, and 10 gb hd for 3d rendering... A G3 sure can't do that! So that is why i started to hate them until i was like "Wait wtf do i hate them for, those were pos computers plus were not made for 3d rendering" So i tried the OS and loved it so now i love macs...
 
GOD DAMIT my order had been delayed... I don't know why its a stock one no mods that i did... *SIGH* so far its been 2 days... Hopefully will be here ny Friday now... :rolleyes:
