yet another OS 3.0 question

Hi all, sorry if i seem a bit "behind" but what time exactly will the OS 3.0 be released for download in the UK, and will it include voice control?, obviously we won't get the compass and video as there both hardware reliant, is 3G capable of running voice control?

Voice control is 3GS only.

No voice control for 3G I'm afraid .

Actually, I don't quite understand why voice control is so important. It seem like the only time you can use it is when you're home. Kinda embarrassing to be on the subway and suddenly shout out: "This song is great, iPhone! Play more of this yo!"

I think using it in the car would be helpful for those of us who live in the suburbs or refuse to take public transport.
