Yet another permissions repair issue

Hey guys... just right off the bat... I am no mac wizz... so lets use the KISS method when explaining things to me.... thanks.

Well my new macbook pro has been acting strange lately. For instance:

When I open it from sleep, it ejects the disk.
Not letting me "x" out a movie while playing it in itunes.
Not allowing me to exit full screen mode while playing a short home movie clip in Iphoto.

I tried the disk utility and tried repairing the permissions... which read as follows.

Sorry about the long list... but it will not repair any of this after 3 attempts. Any suggestion? Can anyone figure a source so I can prevent it from happening again?

I have posted a thread a few pages down about something like this. I just went to check them again and i have the exact same ones as on your list.

With the list of permissions that wont repair.. Add the following unusual occurrences:

-It wont read any burned dvds.
-There was a glitch with Itunes at one point where it wouldn't allow me to exit full screen mode by use of the "x" in the upper left.
-I watched a short movie clip that was in my Iphoto and it seemed to get stuck in fullscreen mode and when I tried to exit it.. it continued to play without video.. just audio.

I tried repairing the disk permissions from safeboot mode with no success. WTF. Why would apple send an update that cripples their macs?
