My 2017 MBP 15 has under 100 charge cycles. Not too long ago I noticed it would no longer sit flat on my desk, and one of the sides had bulged massively.

Apple looked it over and saw that 6 of the cells (all) had similar swelled, bending the bottom cover.

There's a vertical stripe to the screen, one of the speakers rattles, and several keys act up and/or have covers that come off.

Supposedly this will be taken care of by Apple. I noticed that some 2015s caught on fire so this is not something to ignore.

Have many others run into this issue, and how was it resolved? Battery cells replaced? Refurb unit? New / Latest model?

Thanks.

Take it to a brick-n-mortar Apple Store AS SOON AS YOU CAN.
This means... TODAY !!

DON'T WAIT !!
Make the appointment as soon as you finish reading this sentence!

(yes, all that shouting is serious and intentional)

Yes I brought it in right away after doing time machine.

Quickly it was Fedexed out, my email showed.

Day after that I had it back.

Looks 100% new, plus a 90 day warranty.

It has a later keyboard design, screen fixed, speaker etc beside the battery thing.

So far I am impressed and appreciated the very fast service and turnaround.
