On Friday, I went by my local Walmart store and grabbed two of these. One 64GB Gold@ $299 for my wife (she wants to use Procreate), and I got a black 64GB.

Not quite sure what to do with the black one. I currently use a 11" Pro w/LTE/256GB as my daily driver. I've actually had two of the 10.5's in the past, both sold to friends when I got my 11".

What about cellular?

I don't think Walmart sells/stocks the LTE versions.

Wow. That’s less than what people on Craigslist sell used ones for. It’s crazy how cheap iPads have gotten. Nowadays I try to sell one and it takes so much longer than it used to because there are so many out there

Man I’m trying to spread the word around on this.

$200 bucks cheaper than a iPad Air 2019. For a retail iPad Pro 2nd gen. There are some of these in stock 20 miles away from me.

I was too late. Drove 30 miles, when they said they had three. Got there, none.

Hit up multiple Walmarts. Can't believe I missed this.

I’d drive for this sale. I would be willing to travel up to maybe a 2hr round trip. That is a lot of zip codes lol. You’ll find one. Keep searching. 256GB or the 64GB model.

Video editing software caches a lot of data on your local iPads storage. I could have just a few videos saved that I am still editing that I have not finished. And Adobe Rush would be using like 16GB alone in storage space, plus the original video file size inside of files, or photos too. 64gb can go quick with editing. But you can make it work.

I’d go for the 256GB in Space Gray. If cash is tight, then obviously the 64GB Space Gray is fine.

I own a 1TB iPad, and I’m not even using 200GB of storage yet. 256GB is plenty of space.

Guys I got a gold 256 for $399 today, September 17th, 2019. I was patient and got lucky. Here is the story:

I was looking to get an iPad 10.5” Pro 256 and I saw they had the silver one on sale for $625 at Walmart. I noticed the Gold was $399. I figured it was a hot flash sale, so I bought it. It was pickup only, so I thought I would just go to the store in 6 hours. I wasn’t aware of the shenanigans of Walmart and thought if the item was in the store I’ll just pick it up later. When I got to the store the lady for pickup said they don’t have the ipad in the store and I need to do a refund. She mentioned that somebody else came earlier trying to get that same ipad and she helped them with the refund. She asked if I needed help with the refund. I declined the help. I know others tried to get the ipad but maybe i'll get lucky.

I figured maybe, just maybe the ipad is hidden somewhere in the electronics section. I went to the electronics section to double check and sure enough nothing was there. The guy helping me was clueless and said they were sold out two days ago. I thought, bummer and it wasn’t worth asking a manager for an item that is not available. I left empty handed. I spent time and money to get to the store and had nothing to show for it. I was my fault for not waiting for a confirmation email, even though the website said they had it in stock and I bought it. At this point I figured the best thing that could happen is that they ship another unit to the store and the worse thing is they refund me the money.

I let it play out a couple of days. I kept checking the status page every few hours. Finally, on Sunday, I seen a shipping notification message. That’s interesting. The UPS tracking said it was to ship an item the next day. The next day I see that the package arrived at the store, but this time I decided to call in to see if I can verify the item is there. They told me to wait a day for an email confirmation. The next day I see that the status said ready for pickup . I was excited, but I didn’t get an email confirmation . Odd, but I’ll wait. About 15 minutes later I get the email confirmation and an hour later I book it to the store. I scan my email confirmation barcode and took the ipad back to work with me . So the moral of the story is to be patient and have some luck I guess.
