MacBook Pro + Yosemite - I upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite and all looked good until I came to Gmail which fellapart. Very rarely started up correctly and when it did, embedded attachments were rarely presented correctly. After a total of two hours talking to Apple Support and parting with no effective solution, we called it a day. During the chats with Apple, a Safe Mode boot prevented website access although I could Ping out OK. That set me thinking and after upgrading to Yosemite I had installed Intego Internet Security software certified to be for Yosemite 10.10.0. I uninstalled all the Intego Software. Re-booted MBP as normal and the gremlins preventing Gmail from working as they always have, disappeared. Voila, challenge solved.
Intego tell me that the installation of Intego X8 should exclude Parental Control .... But I am not installing Intego again. I also could not find on the Internet Forums, any comments about 3rd Party software interfering with Yossie. Any similar experiences ...
Thanks,
