I have an early 2011 MBP i5 with 8gb ram installed.
Since upgrading (and reformatting again), I've noticed that I cannot have iPhoto or aperture open with Yosemite. It will sit and idle for 2-5 minutes between clicks and nothing will work until iPhoto/Aperture (either or) are closed. The only thing that does fix it is restarting the MBP.

Here is a look at my processes and CPU:

With Aperture open:

So it looks like it's mostly a memory issue. I've reset PRAM as well. What can I do at this time?
