As soon as I updated to Yosemite, Sibelius 7.5 (Which had been working flawlessly for the past 6 months) took a giant crap and began crashing over and over again. Sometimes when initializing playback, sometimes when trying to export pdfs, and sometimes just because it felt like it.
I uninstalled, zapped all supporting files, redownloaded, reinstalled...not any better.
Wiped my hard drive, did a fresh install of OSX and Sibelius...not any better.
Finally I downgraded back to Mavericks via a backup drive, and Voila, fixed.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? I work with VERY large scores and files. I use tons of instrument plugins via Kontakt Player 5, and am admittedly a high maintenance professional user. However this was a complete fail on all levels.
At this point I'm staying on Mavericks until I hit a lull in projects, but would be willing to reconsider a move back to Yosemite in the future if anyone can identify a fix.
(Also I should mention I've perused this forum, and the Avid forums, as well as referenced the Avid support system with no luck, which is why I'm throwing this out into the ether).
