Yosemite - Can't type in Microsoft Word

Please help
I installed the new Yosemite on my MacBook Pro, and now I can open Word docs but I can't type in Word nor can I type in a newly created Word doc. It's like it doesn't recognize the keyboard. I am not having this problem in Excel or Powerpoint.

Try re-installing MS office.
