Hello everybody,
I have something weird going on. Please help, as i use this computer for work. I am working from home
macbook pro 2007 late a1226. 4 gb memory, 500 hd , 2.2hg
I had installed 10.6.8 in the beginning. I needed to upgrade for older OS for some programs.
SOMEHOW I managed to install 10.10.2 on a second partition. All worked till one day it crashed.
I formatted that volume and tried to install from booting. But it is not bootable now.
So 1 partition boots fine ( 10.6.8) but old partition, where yose was before cannot boot.
I ordered USB stick with Yosi. But Now I am wondering if i will be able use it..

Any ideas on how to install yosi on not bootable partition? or How to erase all and create 2 parttions again and make things work?
Guys in apple store said they cannot help me. I wish i could remember how i installed it. I remember it wasn't easy and i used my backup to install it on. Then I upgraded to Yosi via installer.

Thanks a lot!

Do you have backup of Yosemite partition?

Did you format the partition using 10.6.8 or Yosemite?

Have you tested disk with Disk Utility?
