Yosemite does not show icons for running apps in Dock

Hello:
I tried to search for this, but have not found anyone having the same issue.

Since the upgrade to Yosemite, my dock does not show icons for some of the running apps/tasks. Example - Mavericks showed an icon for print jobs, Gogole Android Transfer app, I just tried Handbrake - again, no icon in the dock.

Is this a new "feature" of Yosemite, is there settings I can change this, or is it a bug ?
