2010 13" MBP. Been on Mavericks because I'm fine with performance and don't want to stress out a 5yr old machine (whenever that would begin).
Wanted to test Yosemite with it, though, just to see. Only have an external 320gb HD (Usb 2.0) so I expected a slow install. DL from App Store was quick. Install page was ~20min. Then answered ?'s about language, wifi password, etc and it went to "Setting up your Mac..."
...For now going on 14-15 hours. I expected 12 max. The spinny wheel (not beachball- mouse moves around) is still going so I'm okay waiting. But need computer tomorrow.
Any estimate on time? Or will it go forever and I should give up? If so, do I just try to power down then restart to normal drive?
