I just installed 4GB of RAM to replace the 1GB a mid-2007 24" iMac came with. After launching it again to find that the install went well (and the computer was much faster), I decided to update it from Snow Leopard to Yosemite.
However, it's progress indicator is stuck on "About 8 minutes remaining" and has been for over 10 hours now (the installation itself has been taking place for a little over 12 hours). The mouse still moves around the screen, but Command+L doesn't bring up the installation log to see if anything is still going on.
Also, as a weird side-note, it also says "Installing on ' '" (as in, it doesn't list the name of the hard disk...just a blank space).
Any thoughts on this? I've seen some previous posts about it taking quite a while for the upgrade to complete, but this seems a bit long...
Thanks for the help!
