Am I missing something?

Im using an iPhone5 with iOS8 with a mid 2012 MacBook Air 128GB

Trying to connect them with bluetooth in order to setup and use the auto hotspot enable and call handoff to the mac is not working.

In fact connecting the mac and iPhone consistently fails.

Whats going on here? Is it just fundamentally garbage?

Hi - thanks - I've done all that and still no luck... hmmmmmm - another Apple dead duck or just teething problems?

It wasn't working for me until DP 4 and the thing that finally worked for me was turning off bluetooth on both devices and then turning them back on, on both devices.

Is there a problem with iCloud at the moment?

Could that be it?

Im getting the little grey circle with a horizontal lightening flash next to the iCloud entry in Contacts...
