Did a reinstall of my OS on my rMBP in order to start fresh. Never had this problem before but now the login screen is in a different resolution than the one I actually use and prefer.

Before reinstall, this never happened.

I reset the PRAM, computer has all of the latest software and I tried changing the resolution, shutting down and restarting and issue still persists.

Any other ideas?

I have noticed that. It seems to happen after a reboot. I use fast user switching which does not show it happening.
