I plan to install Yosemite on my MacBook, but I'm worried about the battery.

Right now I get something around 2-3 hours on Mavericks. Has anybody else tried installing the latest version of OS X on such an old machine? How bad is the autonomy? (So far I've read only terrible stories about Yosemite, btw.)
