yosemite os x installer crashes

I'm using OS X 10.10 Yosemite final release. And wanted to do a new install. So as usual, I re-boot the computer and press alt.

Once screen booted up (screenshot 1), there are two partitions to choose from, HD1 and OS X installer.

Clicking the OS X installer will crash the system with the errors (screenshot 2)
