Yosemite problem with CALDIGIT FASTA-6GU3

My Mac Pro - MacPro5,1 - 6-Core Intel Xeon - 3.33 GHz running Yosemite 10.10 will not boot if a SATA device is connected and powered up. Just get a grey screen. Works fine connect to SATA drive after start up. I have reset the PRAM 3 time and the Mac Pro stops booting with a grey screen. Reconnected external with firewire cable and the mac pro starts fine. The drivers for this card are supposed to be built into the Mac system software.

I have installed the Caldigit USB drivers for 10.10 and Mac Pro starts fine with a USB 3 drive connected so the problem is only with SATA connections.

Any one have a work-around???

CALDIGIT tech found the problem. The Velocity Solo x2 I have installed and the FASTA-6GU3 no longer work together when a SATA drive is connected and powered on before start up. Worked fine before Yosemite now its a NO GO. I can use the SATA raid drive if I power down the drives before restarting or I just connect it to the FIREWIRE port. This is an APPLE Software issue (OOPS).
