Hi there,

i installed Yosemite on my two year old macbook pro. After installation, it was about to boot up, then the colour wheel icon shows and i cant get into the OS.

i tried the various reset options such as clearing PRAM, safe mode verbose. i fixed some disk permission errors and faults and managed to get into the OS. Wow, what a disaster zone! my macg as 2.5GHz processor, 8GB RAM but the windows are jerky when opening... text entry is jerky... all the menus are empty and some programs such as McAfee wont load and crash.

i couldnt reboot from the GUI and had to use the command line. upon rebooting back to the coloured wheel of death.
what a PITA! mac was working fine before this!

i tried googling but the posts are all about the beta release which is understandable i guess, so i will have an expensive repair bill. :-(

cheers
