Here's one of the most idiotic UI "improvements":
The selected table column headers are not highlighted in blue anymore. In previous systems, users could determine how table is sorted with just a quick glance.
Now we have to scan the entire table header for a tiny mark - just to find out what column is the table sorted by.
This idiocy was first implemented in Maverick's Finder - and now has spread to all tables.
It looks like Apple's shifted their priority in UI design from intuitive and user-friendly to ugly and weird.
