Since I've downloaded the new Yosemite update my MacBook won't startup it starts the install OS X then says installing on Macintosh hd, about 22 mins then keeps coming up with the error message, OS X could not be installed on your computer file system verify or repair failed quit the installer to restart your computer and try again, done this three times now it's pissing me off,
any ideas anyone please

Looks like a partition table problem.

Some had one, me included. You will find postings about this error and what people do. I ended up with a new install from an external drive and completely erasing the internal SSD prior the OS X install. However, I had an unusual partition table ( 1 x OS X, 1 x Windows 7, 1 x Windows 10, no recovery partition, worked perfectly with Mavericks ).

Now everything works like expected.
